History

Twinspire was founded in 2019 with a vision to uplift foster and system-impacted youth. It began by offering virtual workshops during the COVID-19 pandemic, then quickly grew into in-person programs at community centers and partner organizations.

In 2024, Twinspire opened its first office at the Children’s Institute in Echo Park and expanded its impact to five Green Dot schools. That same year, it launched powerful partnerships with LACOE, the Department of Mental Health, and Probation to reach at-promise youth across Los Angeles County.

Twinspire also hosted its inaugural Financial Empowerment Summit in collaboration with UCLA, LA Parks and Recreation, and Supervisor Holly Mitchell. Today, Twinspire proudly serves youth at seven schools, fourteen STRTPs, and two probation sites—continuing to create meaningful change and brighter futures.
